Our very own former Winnipeg Blizzards Player Daniel Smith has committed to powerhouse Carleton University and will be joining the defending National Champions Ravens for the 2023/24 season!

Winnipeg Blizzards Girls Tryout Information

 

The Winnipeg Blizzards has announced an open call for tryouts to build up for first girls team.  For all the youth basketball players in Winnipeg and surrounding areas. Registrations for our club basketball tryouts are now open.

GIRLS- Age Eligible / Birth Years

·                     13U Girls - Born in 2010 or later (age 13)

·                     12U Girls - Born in 2011 or later (age 12 & under)

IMPORTANT TRYOUT NOTES: 

·                     Players are to pre-register using the below form and complete payment within 24 hours. 

·                     Players are to bring their own basketball to be used during the tryouts.  Personal basketballs should be marked with the player's name on them to aid in identifying the equipment.  

Team will have a 2-day tryout (2 hour each). All the information about the club team can be found by visiting our website www.winnipegblizzardsbasketball.ca

12 active players and 2 or 3 practice players will be selected and announced at the end of that week (Aug 31, 2023, at the latest). If a player can only attempt one of the sessions, please let us know ahead of time so we can evaluate accordingly. 

Practices will start as soon as we get information from gym permits. Parents and players will have access to the TeamSnap to plan their schedules and communicate with coaches.
